›Where Irving businesses actually borrow
Irving sits in Dallas County between Dallas and Fort Worth, with DFW International Airport on its western edge and the SH-114, SH-183 and I-635 corridors running through it. The city is really several business districts with different financing needs, and it is worth knowing which one you are in.
The airport economy. Freight forwarders, customs brokers, ground handlers, catering and logistics firms cluster in the industrial corridors along SH-114 and Belt Line near DFW. They run on airport schedules and on other companies' payment terms, so the constraint is almost never profitability — it is the lag between doing the work and being paid for it. Invoice factoring and equipment financing carry most of that.
Las Colinas. The Las Colinas Urban Center, Williams Square and the Mandalay Canal district hold a dense cluster of corporate headquarters, and around them sits the supplier base that actually banks with us: staffing agencies, IT and managed services, commercial cleaning, facilities and catering firms. These businesses are people-heavy and invoice large clients on net-30 to net-60 terms, so payroll arrives before payment does. A business line of credit is usually the right shape for that, and factoring when the client list is strong but slow.
Hospitality and events. The Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas, the Toyota Music Factory and the surrounding hotel cluster give the city a genuine events calendar, and the restaurants and service businesses that depend on it see a year with peaks rather than a flat line. Restaurant financing and working capital sized to a slow month keep that workable.
The rest of Irving. Along Irving Boulevard, Belt Line Road and MacArthur Boulevard, and through Valley Ranch and the neighbourhoods around the University of Dallas, the businesses are owner-operated: auto repair shops, dental and medical practices, contractors, and retail that has been in the same family for years. That is where SBA loans and acquisition financing do the most good, particularly when the owner is buying the building or buying out a partner.
We also work across the DFW cities next door — Coppell, Grapevine, Euless, Bedford, Farmers Branch and Grand Prairie — and the DART Orange Line ties most of them to Irving, so a same-day conversation is rarely a drive you have to plan around.
